The short version

  • Your trips are stored on your iPhone only.
  • There’s no account.
  • Your location never leaves your iPhone.
  • We collect anonymous usage analytics only.
  • No ads, no tracking.

Who is responsible

The North Brothers Tecnologia Ltda, the company that sells Ninety Left on the App Store, is responsible for your personal data. Contact: support@ninetyleft.app.

Your trips stay on your device

Your trips are stored only on your device. There is no account and we run no server that receives your trips.

Location (only if you turn on Auto-detect trips)

Auto-detect trips is off until you turn it on. If you do, Ninety Left uses your iPhone’s location to work out which country you’re in, so it can suggest a trip for you to confirm. This happens entirely on your iPhone: the app compares your position with country borders built into the app, keeps only the country and the date, and discards your exact location straight away. Your location is never sent to us, to our analytics provider or to anyone else, and it’s never used for advertising. The countries and dates of trips you confirm are stored with your other trips, on your iPhone only. You can turn Auto-detect trips off at any time in the app’s Settings, or in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services. Turning it off stops all use of your location; trips you’ve already confirmed stay until you delete them.

Anonymous usage analytics

We use PostHog (US region) for anonymous analytics about how the app is used, such as finishing the introduction, saving a trip and paywall events. The app never sends your trips, the countries you visited, dates, your day count or your location. This also applies to the events for Auto-detect trips (autodetect_* and trip_suggestion_*): they never carry a country, dates, a day count or a location. PostHog discards the IP address of every event before storing it, and we don’t keep it either.

Purchases

Purchases go through Apple. Subscription status is handled by RevenueCat using an anonymous app user ID. To compare paywall designs, the anonymous analytics ID and the paywall version shown are attached to that anonymous purchase record.

Crash reports

We receive crash reports only if you share analytics with app developers in your iOS settings. These are Apple’s crash reports.

Notifications

Alerts are local notifications scheduled on your device.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete all trips removes your trips. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device too.

What we do not do

We do not sell data, show ads or track you across other apps, so the app does not show the tracking permission prompt.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, erasure of, or objection to the use of your personal data, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Write to support@ninetyleft.app.

Processors

PostHog Inc. and RevenueCat Inc., both in the United States.
